Zilactin is wonderfulI have had to deal with fever blisters on my lips for years. I tried many different meds with little success. One summer while vacationing in Canada, I discovered Zilactin. I started using it and within a couple of days, my fever blisters were almost gone. I have been using Zilactin ever since. The first sign of a fever blister, I start applying Zilactin to the area and most times the blister never materializes and, if it does it is only a very minor problem. UnbelievableIf I don't take 1000mg of lysine per day (and sometimes even if I do), cold sores pop up and I'm stuck with the various creams or gels to treat them. I decided to try the Virulite because my favorite gel went off the market and I'm tired of taking so much lysine daily. So I stopped taking the lysine and sure enough - the tingling started. I wasn't sure if this did anything at first but after getting a cold sore I did notice that it took a couple days off the healing time which made me happy. If you catch the cold sore early enough it seems to kill it but once the little blisters develop all you can hope for is that it will shave a couple days off. I think it works well in combination with a lysine regime. I'd try it and see if it works for you, it's expensive but I'd say it was worth it.
