Just another non-permanent weapon against unwanted hairThere's been a lot of back-and-forth about the Silk'n device online. Some folks say it works great. Others say it doesn't work at all and is a total scam. Maybe it's because I used the device under a Doctor's supervision that my expectations and results were more realistic. Like all light-based and laser removal methods, the Silk'n works best on lighter skin with darker hair...think of a pale "Italian" or "Spaniard" for an idea of what the ideal candidate is...and it works for those folks pretty well. If you're blonde-haired and blue-eyed...don't waste your money on this or any hair removal method other than electrolysis. I am a white male. I have a lighter skin tone. My hair is brown to dark brown, depending on where we're talking about. My arms are lightest...my chest and stomach are darkest. I used Silk'n on my chest and stomach and nowhere else. By all measures I'm a good candidate. How does it work? It works well at killing hairs...
Easy to use
This product DOES NOT WORK! I have light skin, dark hair, used it as instructed and it did not do a thing! I recommend you do not buy it. Now... if you are incredulous about the reviews and you have to see for yourself, do yourself a favor and buy it on amazon. I made the mistake of buying it directly from the so called SILKN STORE, and let me tell you I still think about them months after the ordeal. They say they return your money, but they do everything in their power not to give you a refund. They lied, said they had sent me a check, etc, ended up giving me a partial refund (this all happened from Feb 2010 to Sep 2010- that is how long it took them to return part of my money). Well, now it is Nov 2010, and I just found out they are typing in my credit card info, making fraudulent charges without my authorization. This is just the kind of company they are, stay AWAY!

Be careful with your money!After much research on the internet, and reading some positive reviews, I was very excited to try this product. Well, it didn't work for me. I used the highest setting for four to five treatments and noticed absolutely no change. I called the company to verify I was using the product properly and I was. Since I was approaching the refund time frame, I was getting concerned I was wasting my money on a product that does not work. So, I contacted the company and after several phone calls/emails they finally gave me an RMA to send to send it back for a return. (It was still in the time frame for returns and I had all of the packaging it came with, so I was still eligible for a return.) Three weeks later, they still have not refunded me. First they tried to tell me that my package never arrived, but fortunately I had a delivery confirmation to prove that it did. I have light skin and medium to dark brown hair. Most of my hair is thin (except my bikini line.) I've been doing treatments for nearly 6 months with great results. I use it on my face (sideburns, upper lip, and chin) my arms, bikini line, and underarms. I've had the best results with the hair on my arms. After one treatment only about 5% of the hair grew back. After 4 treatments I only see a couple of strays that have grown back. The hair on my face has taken many more treatments (about 10), but the re-growth is only about 20% at this point. One of my underarms is not growing any hair back (10 treatments). My bikini line is down to about 50% regrowth with 7 treatments I think. All of the hair I have treated either doesn't grow back or grows back thinner. I also get much less ingrown hairs and irritation when shaving. I have never left a review for any product before but I had to write one on this product. I have used this for about 6 months now and I was logging on to buy my first replacement cartridge. I'm a man (I know, not very masculine LOL) and I by no means use this on my entire body. That is probably why my first cartridge lasted so long. The first thing I have to say is THIS WORKS! The thing is you need a little bit of patients. You probably wont see any real results until your 3rd treatment but it is very noticeable. I have used this product once every two weeks from the day I got it. Now 6 months later, I can count the amount of hairs I have left in my treatment area. Silk'n SensEpil reviewI originally came across a good review for silk'n sensepil while researching another hair removal product. I started researching the sensepil & decided to try it. I have fair skin, medium brown hair on my underarms & bikini area (blonde hair in other areas). According to instructions, I should see best results on my dark hairs, but may see some on even the lighter hairs with extra sessions. The price seemed very high (here & on the manufacture's site), but I was able to find someone selling a unit that worked, but was no longer needed on an auction site for $200 without a lamp cartridge. I purchased 2 cartridges here. I received my auctioned unit & cartridges within one day of each other. Still not cheap, but more reasonable. My unit did not have any limit on how high I could set it for my initial uses. For those of you that get yours new & are complaining about the limit... It works for me!
This is my second cartridge and it's been around 2 months since I started using Silk'n SensEpil. I noticed difference is some areas - hair grows slowly and some areas got almost no hair, but it does take some time so you need to be patient.
Laser is better
I tried this product and didn't it didn't work for me. I have been going to a dermatolist for laser and that is still the better way for me. I gave this products numerous tries in different areas and many took out about 1/8 of hair if that. I returned Item
